Welcome to the Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist!
We welcome you to our webpage!
Our church building is located in Linden, New Jersey and our parish members come from Linden, Roselle, Clark, Winfield Park, Rahway, Islin, Metuchen, Scotch Plains, and Union.
We celebrate our diversity! We are married, single, divorced, and widowed. We are straight, lesbian, gay, and bisexual. We come from a mix of ethnic backgrounds, educational and work experiences, and love the rainbow of colors among us.
Our worship draws on traditions going to the time of the apostles. We praise God in songs from Gregorian Chant, to Anglican hymns, to Spirituals and Contemporary pieces.
Our thinking is contemporary and we are ever discovering God in new and challenging ways and in traditional and comforting paths.
Come and see — there’s a place for you at Christ’s Table with us.
The Episcopal Church of St. John the Baptist is open for worship on Sunday at 10 AM. We regularly celebrate the Holy Eucharist or the Mass. All baptized Christians of any age and any denomination are invited to receive Holy Communion. Masks are Optional in the church. We respect the decisions of some to continue to wear a mask.
After the Holy Eucharist, we gather for coffee and fellowship in our Parish Hall. We continue to broadcast our services on both Facebook, YouTube and Zoom.
The Bulletins for our Sunday worship are found by clicking the button.
